“Put An End To Bullying” more info

On February 27 Shaughnessy Village declared their support to “Put An End To Bullying”.

All the staff wore a pink carnation, trimmed with a pink ribbon.

In the elevators and main and lower main floors were posted signs featuring a pink heart that said: “Support----Put An End To Bullying”.

The ‘Village’s’ Vice President and General Manager Jan Floody said that the staff and many of the visitors and 250 guests were proud of the position that the Village has taken to support this great cause that was instigated by Christy Clark, Radio Talk Show Host at CKNW.

B.C.’s Premier Gordon Campbell stated that February 27 each year will be ‘Stop The Bullying’ day.

This initiative has been recognized by many people throughout Canada, some parliamentarians in Ottawa and by people’s in countries around the world.

The ‘Village’ believes this is a step in the right direction in making people hospitable in their relations towards each other.
